Target | children with physical/motor disability |
---|---|
Disability category | physically challenged |
Teaching units / Applicable scenes | drawing and crafts, art |
Specific purposes |
・To learn the basic use of a brush-cleaning bucket ・To learn how to use a brush-cleaning bucket efficiently ・To learn to judge by themselves when to change the water in the bucket |
Considerations for disability characteristics |
・Because the brush-cleaning buckets are not only transparent but are also lined up in parallel, the dirtiness of the water in each cleaning bucket can easily be seen, even from a wheelchair. ・The order of use can easily be remembered, because the buckets need only be used from right to left or from left to right. |

How to use |
① Learning to use the buckets ・Place the larger bucket near the user’s dominant hand. ・Beginning from the bucket placed closest to the user’s dominant hand, the buckets are to be used for the following purposes: ‘For first cleaning”; “For second cleaning”; and “For thinning paints.” ・When cleaning a brush, make sure to always begin by putting the brush in the “For first cleaning” bucket. |
Related teaching materials and information |
* The need to come up with tools that can be handled easily by users who have difficulty moving smoothly → The tool is easy to use from the height of a wheelchair. * The need to narrow down the things that need to be learned by users who have difficulty moving smoothly → Reduction of information (the buckets are lined up for easy viewing) |
