• Children who try to answer the questions When? Who? and What to do?
• Children who have difficulty in speaking using future- or past-tense verbs.
Disability category mentally challenged autism
Teaching units / Applicable scenes Japanese foreign languages
Specific purposes • Children will be able to make a sentence, including when, who, and what to do, taking verbal tenses (future and past) into consideration.
Considerations for disability characteristics • Future-tense verbs are written in green, present-tense in black, and past-tense in blue, enabling children to easily understand that verbs change with tense.
• Writing a complete sentence on the worksheet enables children to confirm the correct expression.
Expected effects and results • Children became aware that verbs changed with tense and checked if the verb they had used was correct.
• Children were able to speak using future and past tenses only during the class period, but not in everyday lives. We will provide the children with opportunities to learn in their everyday lives.
How to use 1. Roll a dice.
• Roll a dice in order of when, who, and what to do.
2. Write a sentence on the worksheet.
