The stage helps children: turn the pages of a song picture-story book by their own and take the role of turning pages at the correct timing during a song. |
| Considerations for disability characteristics |
Hook-and-loop fasteners were attached to the stage to fasten a book so that a young child can turn pages using one hand. The stage was placed on a drawer cabinet so that it is easy for children sitting on a chair to see. |
| Expected effects and results |
In our school, children started to choose a favorite song picture-story book from the drawers, place it on the stage and request a teacher to accompany the song. Children who want to take the part of turning pages of a song picture-story book during group activities increased. |
| How to use |
Use the stage for song games during group activities, etc. Children are to: 1. prepare a song picture-story book and the stage 2. ask the teacher to play the piano for accompaniment 3. turn the pages of the song picture-story book, sing and express themselves using their bodies 4. put away the song picture-story book and the cabinet . |
