Specific purposes	・For use when introducing abacus usage. ・Keeps children focused on, and only able to manipulate, those digit columns that need to be focused on in order to perform the given calculation tasks. ・Prevents confusion about which digit columns to add beads.
Considerations for disability characteristics	・Digit columns extraneous to the assigned calculation task are completed covered; thus, even children who still lack fine motor skills can perform bead addition and subtraction confidently.
Expected effects and results	・Improves bead addition/subtraction operation. ・Makes numeral position easier to understand.
How to use	・Made of wood. ・Depending on the need of the child, change the size of the window in the cover to show two, three or four digits. ・Be aware that small size variations will exist, depending on the abacus used.
