To enable children with visual impairment to: --enjoy making a sound --improve their finger movement ability --develop the ability to move both hands in a coordinated manner |
Considerations for disability characteristics |
The instrument is made of wood, pleasant to touch, and easy to hold and use. Children with visual impairment receive simultaneous auditory and tactile impressions when activating the music boxes (pulling or turning), and are thereby encouraged to take an interest in the instruments. The instruments have a finger crank or ball at the end of a pull-string, as well as other features, which make it clear where to hold. |
Expected effects and results |
