| Considerations for disability characteristics |
The working material is wire, which can be easily recognized. Aluminum wire is used, which is easy to handle and bend, even when fairly thick. |
| Expected effects and results | Since the wire is aluminum, a soft metal, students can freely bend even fairly thick wire with pliers, improving their manipulative skills and giving shape to mental images. |
| How to use | Since, at the beginning, students handle a straight wire, 60 cm to 1 m in length, sufficient distance is provided between them for safety. Also for safety, they make a small bend in the wire at one end, and then begin to bend the wire accurately, with pliers, from the other end. They construct a free-standing three-dimensional shape consisting of straight lines, and angles. |
