Specific purposes ◎ To enable children to develop listening skills and verbal communication skills while having fun playing with the teaching material.
・ By using this teaching material, children will develop the ability to make verbal requests and the ability to listen and to understand what is being said.
Considerations for disability characteristics ・ The hair and the facial parts have different textures so that they can be easily distinguished when touched.
・ Pictures are drawn on the front and the back of the eye, mouth, and nose parts.
Expected effects and results Because the children are blindfolded, they are expected to learn to make the effort to focus on hearing and to obtain information via their ears.
How to use ・ The teaching material is used in pairs. The children need to communicate with one another while playing the game. For example, they could be saying: “This is the mouth,” “Which piece (part) do you want next?”, “Hand me the nose,” and so on.
