Considerations for disability characteristics |
・ Blow the candle quietly so that the candlelight sways back and forth without the candle being blown out. ・ First, light the candle and blow it out with the sound “hu” (or “fu”). Gradually, move the lips away from the candle and practice blowing harder. Next, close the lips and practice blowing out the candle with the sound “pu.” When that has been learned, practice with the following sounds in the order of “po,” “pa,” “pe,” and “pi.” When practicing with the sound “pi,” make sure that the lips are pulled into a closed smile; the sound is then pronounced while the breath is forced rapidly out of the mouth. |
Expected effects and results |
・ Soft, long, and quiet breathing is required in spoken words. By using this teaching material, young children will be able to learn natural and relaxed breathing and will become able to control their breathing in relation to the word that is being spoken. ・ When young children become able to make a plosive by using the lips, they are then able to move on to practicing sounds that also include a vowel. In this way, they will be able to get the hang of pronouncing sounds beginning with the letter “p” in the Japanese syllabary. |
